Best Z400 Rear Brake Rotor
#1
I recently tore a chunk out of the stock skid plate and as I was replacing it I noticed my brake rotor was bent a tad. I've been searching a little while on the net for a new rotor but haven't really run into much. So far the one that sounds about the best to me is the Wave Brake Rotor from Alba for $139. Does anyone out there have an opinion on this rotor or any another rotor out there for that matter? I just want to know what my options are before I sink my money into something. Thanks!

I replaced the stock skid with a DG plate. That should keep me from having the same problem. Does the vented rotor help with squeaking problem? I heard that would solve the squeaking problems the Z's have. Before I bent the rotor, the rear brake was squeaking pretty bad…but now I have bigger problems .
Bobcat, have you done a lot business with Magic Racing? Are they pretty reliable?

The vented rotor fixed my squeek, it hasn't made a peep since the new rotor was installed. I bought all the stuff for my Z from Magic except the Ourys. No problems at all. Great people to work with!

Magic is a good company to deal with but Im sorry to say that your DG skidplate was probably not your best choice. It should hold up for a while but next time get one that is 1/4" thick like PRM, Armadillo or ProArmor. If you have a little extra sending money Pro-Tect is Stainless Steel and should outlast all of them.
