Default Vinson parking brake-how long will it hold?

As best I can tell, the park feature on the transmission simply applies the rear brake for a "park", am I way off base here? And if so, any hydraulic brake will eventually bleed off if left on for a long time, the fluid slowly leaks past the piston, etc. So if I load up in my truck, put it in park and take off the next morning, will I have any stopping power left? Will it be diminished? Thanks for any help, of course I will be finding out tomorrow morning. LOL.

P.S. Of course I use tiedowns
