lt250r oil seal

Default lt250r oil seal

Is it possible to replace the oil seal on the shift shaft without splitting the cases? If so, do you guys have any tips on how to remove the old oil seal. all help is appreciated. thanks---Joe[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

Default lt250r oil seal

hey there i just replaced mine on my 88racer all you gotta do is pry out the old one and install the new.make sure its clean first then pop out the old one inspect the shaft for any burrs or such if there is burs clean them up with a file or sand paper then clean apply a bit of waterproof grease to the shaft slide on the new seal and seat it in place install shifter and ride like hell.......... monty
