lt250-raptor
The only thing a raptor does better is build more torque, which is sometimes better for climbing hills or towing your buddy if he breaks down. However sometimes wheel speed is just as important in climbing hills. I see 4 strokes all the time climbing steep hills doing wheelies but only going like 5 mph, its because they build high amounts of torque on the low end., but not enough wheel speed. I saw a raptor stuck on the side of this steep hill once. We both had to down shift once toward the top but everytime he did the raptor front end would come up so he had to let off the gas , thus losing momentum and having to turn around and try again. He finally made it up after like 45 min. but he had to kiss his bumper to keep the front end down. and as for jumping the lt 250 is way more balanced. Ive riden a 400ex and raptor and both want to do nose dives off jumps. It may be i wasnt used to them but i never had that problem with my bike. The raptor actually is supposed to have better throttle response which is critical in jumping to even out your trajectory. If i was to get a 4- stroke id get the raptor, running out of oil to mix sometimes gets annoying.
