What I find is most time people throw on a pipe and open the airbox (even removing the snorkel baffel) all they do is throw in a big main. You should also richen the mid and low. This means getting an adjustable needle (shimming the stocker is no fun).

I've got my Z tuned really nice at 145 main, Alba needle at 4th groove from the top (richer than stock) and a 25 main with 3 turns out. Runs perfect. I do have the airbox lid on and no snorkel baffel and I gutted my stock pipe.

A good test is, where does it wheely easiest? If it's at high RPMs, you're most likely lean in the mid.

When you're crusin along, do you have it pinned the whole time, or do you lax on the throttle and cruise?

Anyhow, list your mods and current jetting and we can take a poke at the problem.

Maybe it needs air cooling instead of liquid?
