They are over-rated.

 

That's true. They do some great things on a Banshee, because the Banshee's overheat way too much, but other bikes don't have that problem. Unless you like being able to change the compression for different riding, I'd just polish out your stock head and shave .010" off of it to up the compression, if that's what you want.

 

i already did that but my bike is bored .80 over so the engine gets pretty hot, if ya know what i mean

 

I truly don't think a cool head does anything to reduce temp. I've stated my case in other threads. Just don't be suprised if you don't get the results your hoping for.
