VINSON REAR RACK?
#1
I have heard about problems with the back rack bending and breaking with only a little bit of weight on the Vinson. I have also heard about the frame breaking after weight was placed on the rack. Since i just bought one i would like to know if there is any truth to this and if i am going to have any problems?

Eigerman I have an 02 Vinson and have hauled tons of weight on the rear rack and have had no problem what so ever. I'm not sure where you heard that from but from everything I've seen you can load it up pretty good.

Eigerman...I don't know where some of these stories originate...probably from polaris owners. I have also had tons of wieght on mine...NO PROBLEM. Last year had a 185 pound dear on the back and was going up steep grades...I couldn't even tell the deer was there!

I think the rack is strong enough.
My brother endoed my wife's Vinson and the back of his leg caught the rear rack. Bent the rack up pretty good. Also bent the frame on the left side. It took 3 tons of pressure at a body shop to straighten the frame.
My brother was lucky and just got a bruise on the back of his leg and damgage pride. My wife was not happy as she had only ridden it for 5 minutes at the dealer before the mishap.
