Default help with a lt160 please

Need some mechanical assistance with my 89 160. When the engine is cold it starts adn runs fine. However, if the engine is hot it will start and idle fine but upon touching the throttle it will immediately die. Any thoughts? I probably should just have it rebuilt but I do jnot want to sink a bunch of cash in it right now.

thanks in advance.

First make sure your air filter is clean. If you have taken the air box lid off or made and muffler mods then you need to rejet.

Default help with a lt160 please

would that cause it to happen all of a sudden? It ran fine all winter and the past summer. I haven't changed anything on it in over 2 years. I have taken the airbox cover off to change the air filter and then replaced it. Does that help any? Also, to aid in it starting if I put the full choke on and blow into the carb vent hose it starts immediately. Does that mean anything to anyone?

i had the same problem with a 160 and i got a hold of some bad gas
1.first drain the gas
2.then take the float bowl off the bottom of the carb and drain it
then buy some premium gas and get some drygas at wal mart
and mix in the tank
3.then your 4 wheeler should idle high 4 a while
