Mix your first tank of fuel slightly rich, don't let it idle all the way down for about the first 5 minutes of run (keep RPM'S up SLIGHTLY!), vary engine speed for around the first 30 minutes or so, avoiding full throttle. Also after it cranks and runs for the first time, run it for 5 or so minutes, then let it cool for a few minutes, then run it about 10 or so minutes, then let it cool, then run it longer. Let it cool down completely, retorque the head and cylinder base nuts, and you're good to go.
From my experience, this method works well. Good luck!
