Default 2000 Quadmaster 500

I bought a 2000 quadmaster 500. The exhaust pipe coming out of the head glows orange when riding it or when idleing the eng up. When it is idleling normal it seams ok. I found the pipe cracked when i bought it so I replaced the pipe and it still did it. I have put new exhaust and intake valves in it, had the carb checked, new piston. The thing runs great. Is this normal? At night the pipe is so orange it looks like I have noen lighting and you need a heat shield attached to your leg so it doesn't get to hot. Please Help

Thanks for the info. I have checked all of that. The sparkplug is not showing the motor running lean. I talked to a dealer today that told me the front pipe is made of titanium and that is why the pipe turns this color.

Mine was doing the same thing, it was too lean. I bought a KN filter and Dyna Jet kit - jetted it richer and runs a lot better now...
