2002 yamaha warrior
#1
i just bought this warrior from a neighbor and i rode the thing for about an hour the day i got it. i noticed that it did keep trying to stall out but then it would start right back up. then i parked the 4 wheeler in the garage. next day i went to start it and now it will only turn over but wont start. i cleaned the carb and the tank. put in a new plug and air filter. its getting spark and its getting gas. all it will do is turn over though. anybody have any ideas. thanks

My 01 Wolverine wouldn't start when I bought it, I had fuel and spark(weak). All the trouble shooting pointed to the stator. I wound up putting a stator and cdi box into it. The guy I bought it from said he had been trail riding and drove it onto the trailer but it wouldn't start once he got home, sounds similar to your situation. If you put a stator in it it might be better for you to buy the Yamaha oem (even at the higher cost) I put one in from RM stator and it didn't work so then I had to bite the bullet and go oem. The one from RM is still in my garage, wasn't able to get refund. Ricky stator is suposed to be a good one from what I understand.
