2000 yamaha kodiak 400 4x4- cdi unit makes a buzzing noise when key is turned on, when bike is started cdi unit makes a clicking noise. And on one of my terminals on the cdi unit I should be getting out 12volts(only getting 3v). And the bike has a reverse limiter that will only allow you to go a certain speed in rev. But it is doing it when the bike is in Neutral,park,forward, and reverse.

 

sound like a short in the CDI to me. go with ebay.
