Default topping out.

My fourwheeler in my signature topped out at about 45. does that sound right to anyone that are familiar with it? I put it in the shop for a tune up. the carb sounded like it needed a very bad cleaning. I hear that a clean carb will increase the speed, but how much? I haven't got it back yet to see if it has improved. if that's not the right speed, is there anything else that could be wrong with it? thanks in advance.

mudngun, that sounds about right for your quad there. After all it is a utility quad, geared low for power and not made for racing or speed. a carb clean will most likely make it run better, but for getting more speed than 45 mph i don't think its possible unless you want to spend good money.

I had one for 22yrs and that's all I ever thought it could do. They had no speedometer so its only an educated guess.
