Maintenance & Servicing.
#1
Hey all, i have had my yamaha blaster for about 1 year now, which i have not been driving much in the past 4 months, and since i have had it, all i have done to it was changing the spark plug, changing the transmission oil, and cleaning the air filter, and ofcourse, applying some WD-40 spray on the chain and on the bolts etc so it does not rust.
Yesterday, i thought i would give it in for a full servicing at the Yamaha workshop.
it will be coming back soon, my question is, when i get it back, for the next year or so, what other than i have listed doing myself, must i do extra?
thanks in advance.

If your asking me, you did great. Not much to do with a two stroke, that is what is nice about them. No oil to change, no valves to adjust.
Might put your battery on a trickle charger. Grease all zerks (if any). Wash it real good and check the frame for cracks when clean. If it sets for a long time you might put some gas stabilizer in it. Also get a good chain lube. I like a chain wax because it is not sticky. Do a bolt check on all your bolts.
Also, you might take a compression and get a base line on it. This way you can tell when your motor is getting tired.
