I've got a 2,000 lb ATV winch made by Superwinch, uses 2 80a relays inside a small box to operate winch via a handlebar mounted rocker switch.

Turns out the YiShen Chinese relays are junk, melted the first time I really ran the winch for more than 10 seconds.

Anybody got a source for these? Trying to find one locally, don't want to wait a week to be able to plow my driveway.... Superwinch was great, they'll have me one in April.....maybe

It looks like an automotive relay, but it's slightly different. Because it's rated for 80a, the center three spade connections are 3/8" instead of the more common 1/4".

 

thats funny my last atv also had A 2000 lb superwinch that called for a 50 amp? It did not come with one so I bought it at Napa auto, never had any problems.

I found a relay at Autozone that is working as a replacement. If anyone needs the part number email me.

had same problem with my superwinch ut3000. just fixed it today. heres the relay u need. really cheap compared the the $43 that superwinch tried to get me to buy one from summitracing.
