when i got my 250x it started right up. Went down the driveway and it stalled. tryed everything and it wouldnt start up again. It is a race engine made by TC. I bought a new motor to ride it but want the race engine. What do you think is wrong with it. Thanks

 

does it turn over? did you change the plug? spark? no aperant head leaks? no oil sepping out? if the motor turns over freely . put it back in and switch all the electrical part's from the motor you know run's. stator, pick up. coil .

 

It turned over, changed the plug, was spark and changed the cdi box. There were no leaks eather. All the electrical works because I ride it with the same electrical parts.

 

not to be rudundant , in particular i was talking about the stator/ pickup, . do a compression test next, may have broke a ring , blown the head gasket, or to back up a bit did you check for intake leaks? running the same carb? also did you let it warm up good b 4 pulling down the drive? race motor? new piston , bore, cam's , timing chain , crank,? may have to order new gasket's take the top end off, and have a peak ,
