Default Avanti 125 (typhoon knock-off)

I've had this quad about three months, bought it for my 10 year old son. So far
I have been very impressed with this little machine. It has incredible power although
the gearing was a bit low. I changed the front sprocket from 14 to 15 teeth and that made a world of difference. Anyhow I had a day off and was doing a routine oil change I started the engine to warm the oil and noticed it was smoking alot . Does anyone have an idea of what this could be. Thanks for the help, Kevin

The only thing i can think of is did you put the correct amount of oil the crankcase ?

If you overfilled the quad with oil it may be that the crankcase vent is stopping up , when this happens it can cause oil to be sucked up into the airbox and into the carb ; since i'm not familar with this quad i'm assuming it's a 4 stroke engine ?

Oh and one other thing your airfilter could be stopped up , this will also cause air to be sucked by way of crankcase vent to carb causing the smoking ; and i forgot to ask what color smoke ?

I hope this help's or that someone who's familar with your quad will jump in with more info !........
