Yamaha RC 42 Mower tERRAPRO
Looking for photo or hand made drawing of the blade crossbar assy. for attaching blades for the bush-hog. Mine has been damaged and the manual does not seem to give me a clear photo of how the bars are welded together where the blades go in between and the pins go in thanks for any help COLEDJ

Thank you, I did get the rc42 fixed a friend who is a retired millwright-rigger fixed it for me. He reinforced the bond between the 2 pieces and made it much stronger. Works great. I have the terrapro, and rc42 mower, and the tiller. would like to find new blades for the future. he sharpened the old ones but i an doing a lot of field mowing. If you have a place you know of that has the blades i would like to find them. I will remember your post and if i have and more ? maybe i can contact you thank you very much for posting Dennis

RC42 Mower, blade parts number
I just got my new to me RC-42 Terra-Pro mower running yesterday, and took the blades off to sharpen them. I could not read the complete number stamped in the blades, so I went looking.
These mowers were produced by Woods Mfg. and they made the 42" single spindle mowers for a wide range of other tractors. It looks like they had applications for both right and left turning models.
As best I can determine the Terra-Pro should take two of the Woods
#3975 KT CW (Clockwise Blade) (Standard Suction) for the Right Hand discharge.

RC-42 blade position
I have the manual and it states "The words -This Side Down- are stamped on the blade. Make sure this side of the blade is placed toward the ground.".
If you put the blade in the other way the cutting edge will not lead. You can engage your mower and watch which way it turns when it starts up and put the blade in so that the leading edge will be cutting. The blade seems to be designed to throw clipping upward. I just purchased new blades and they are stamped with the correct words. I bought them from a Yamaha dealer. the retail cost was $110 new.
