I am attempting to fix my Moms quad. It was taken all apart by someone "fixing" it and messed it up more.

I finally got it all together and running but if I attach the fuel vacuum line to the Carb it fills the carb/engine/airbox up with fuel. I took the pet **** off the tank and the tube with the filter attached is there but it appears there is suppose to be another tube right next to it and is missing. Could this be causing the excess fuel? I cleaned and reassembled and it still dumps fuel everywhere.
