Default spark at end of crank cycle

this is on a gc 250 vertical engine roketa. about 10% of the time i can get a healthy continuous spark---the rest of the time i will get one spark when when i release the start button. so far i have replaced the coil, but before i replace anything else, i'd like to know if this is a common problem and does it point to anything specific. i have checked all the connectors. i should point out that in those limited number of times it sparks continuously, the quad will start and run great until i shut it off. i can leave the quad alone for a while and when i go to start it again i get the one spark problem again. thanks

I found a similar issue with the rotax 2 cylinder. what I found there was they used a spring advance inside the flywheel and the spring was broken. check parts schematics to be sure your not dealing with something simalar, if so I used the spring from a bic pen to replace the broken spring
