Default Bike starts when hand brake applied

My bike is a 300cc chinese quad built by Farspeed Vehicle Industry Co., Ltd.
(I think) with a hand brake safety start override.
Just lately the override is playing up, when I turn on the ignition and apply the hand brake the starter motor runs & the bike starts..
Also while riding the bike the starter motor runs whenever I apply the hand brake.
Trouble is I do not know where the override is, what it looks like or how it works so i can't find what needs to be fixed.
there are 2 wires come from the brake lever but I have not been able to trace them to their destination and/or the override switch
Any advice on where to start will be much appreciated,,

Probably starter relay, solenoid,or starter button shorting out when you hit the hand brake engaging starter. On most atvs(same as the youth model Polaris atvs) the starter override switch switch on the hand brake just completes the circuit for the starter to be able to engage when you hit the start button. Don't know if this generic Chinese wiring diagram will help or not on your quad. Hooper Imports Experts on Chinese Motorcycles and Parts, Engines
