I have a 2003 polaris sportsman 500 H.O. and my awd would not work so i took the complete hub assembly off with all 4 bearings armature plate and basket cleaned everything and started installing everything back. Once i got everything back together and lined up now my awd wont disengage. im not sure how it all works becuase the basket in front of the armature plate is splined on the axle so i dont understand how its not always in 4wd wether the coil is energized or not. i was thinking maybe my axle nut was too tight perhaps but long story short im not sure how the front wheels spin with the back wheels once the atv is jacked up

can anyone clear any of this up
