Herculiner and dupliliner? (walmart and autozone sell it) have absolutely nothing on line-x or rhino. You will pay more for these but they are worth every penny. I've got Rhino liner in my Z71 and it's done the job. Both have lifetime warranties. They are almost identical, you can't go wrong w/ either one. Go to a few places that install them and see which one sprays thicker and does a better job.

I agree, it's well worth the money for a professional job.

My son-in-law and I owns a Company that sprays Mega-liner. All Companys spray around the same thickness, 1/4 inch.

The most important thing to look at is there UV coating. Some Company's like Rhino charges extra for UV coating, but it's well worth the money. The sun will eat it up over time without it.

Look on my pic page, I had Mega-liner sprayed on the plastic on the bottom of my Avalanche.

I'm also spraying it on my Prairie, to change color.....Orange

We (ATV Connection Magazine) bought a new 16 foot enclosed aluminum trailer with a wood floor. I'm investigating what will best protect the wood floor. Rhino and Line-X want $1,600.00 to spray the floor. I'm considering just rolling on some herculiner. Suggestions?

Dbeck;

Wow, they're way out of line on price, they spray 8' pickup beds for around $500 and that goes up the side, up under the rail.

A 16' flat floor should be around half that price.

We sprayed an entire garage floor for not much more than that.

SykoQuadRider, I forgot to mention, if your buying a new truck, most Companies have a rebate deal set up with the makers. Ford has a $100 or $150 rebate if you Mega-line.

my brother has Herculiner roll-on bed liner in his 1994 F-150. He had it out off-roading it and his truck swung in between 2 trees and the side scraped, and didn't even take any of the herculiner off. It was very impressive. Very tough stuff. Easy job too.
0.mask off where you want to put it in the box
1.Sand down whole box w/ sand paper (get a couple buddys and it only takes 30 mins)
2.get a rag and clean box with Xylol (it bonds the herculiner to the box)
3.apply a coat of herculiner
4.apply another coat of herculiner
5.let it dry

long box costs $120.00
6' box cost is $99.00

great weekend project.

Some of what I read claims the herculiner is a knuckle skinner -- very rough. Did you find that to be the case? Did he roll it on or spray it on?

dbeck -

You might want to look into this stuff:

http://www.locktile-usa.com/index.html

I've used this in garages - very easy to install as it just lays in place once it's joined together. Smooth but non-skid surface, not too heavy and can't be hurt by oils etc. Each piece is 19" x 19" and about 3/16ths" thick.

Jaybee,

Thanks. It won't work for me but might help someone else out. I have E-Track embedded into my floor. I really can only use some kind of roll-on, spray-on, etc protection. It needs to cover the sides of the wood on the ramp door, too.

Yup It's rough, don't slide your back on it without a shrit on, and it is durable. It was rolled on. And in some tight areas "dabbed" with a brush. Cheaper than Line-X and Rhino Linings and just as tough if not tougher.
