Default stay away from Progressive insurance

I had a lady rear end our company vehicle about 8 years ago. Claim was through Progressive. They came to our office, looked at the vehicle, and cut a check on the spot. They asked if I wanted the check made out in my name or the company's. Had I known I would get laid off later, and they never did repair the car (damage was minor), I sure would have answered that question differently.

State Farm insurance sucks also. I had to get mean and nasty with them over a claim for a car/deer crash this last spring. They didn't want to pay anything for the damages. They finally came around to about what 2/3's of the damage was going to cost.

One good thing is my ATV insurance is cheap. I only have liablilty so I am legal for operation on roads legal for ATV's. Liability costs $20.80 per year. Full coverage would have been over $100.00. I thought about going with full coverage but didn't due to the fact my 1988 Fourtrax only booked out at $1100.00

A lot of the times it can be the insurance agent and not getting people the coverage or benefits they really need. A lot of people just buy the "cheapest insurance" they can get and it doesn't cover anything.

Make sure you have a reputable agent what will explain your coverage and go to war for you with the big companies.

I had my grizzly stolen, followed correct procedures with progressive and had a check cut 3 weeks later and I would highly recommend progressive. Also I just bought a Rhino and they are the cheapest out there with the most coverage.

Progressive insures all my vehicles and toys and has done so for a few years now. I've made a few claims and they have been very helpful and easy to deal with. I would highly recommend them.

A guy ran over my mail box about 3 years ago trying to avoid a deer. The next day I replaced the $5 mailbox and thought nothing about it. Then I got a knock on the door and it's a Progressive claims person handing me a check for $230 for my efforts. Can you say BONUS????

I have 1 quad with them. No claims yet!
