That was for electric shift. A slider as in a sliding rear window so he could have opened it and the fairlead would have just gone into the cab.

I have a 96 ford ranger stepside. The problem is the area between the wheel wells is 40.25"

The stock specs of the big bear is 43.7. Really a 3.5" difference or 1.75" on each side. Im sure there is some play with the tires giving...but that much?
he was talking about "the area between the wheel wells" right?

I use to put my Raptor in the back of my bro's ranger stepside and it would run up the wheel wells and then just drop down wasn't a big problem and I had wider wheels on that as well

yea the wheel wells dont matter as long as it isnt wider then the sides of the bed your fine you should have no problem just riding over the wheel wells. I have to drive my Zilla over the wheel wells when I put it in my dakota its pretty wide up front

I haul my Vinson in a Ranger. The wheel wells are not a problem. I ride over them and the Vinson's clearance is higher than they are tall. Of course, the tailgate will not close, but that's no big deal. As for the window, no problems as yet. I try to leave plenty of space in the front so that as the quad shifts, it would not hit the window. My back tires are usually just on the bed with the tail hanging over, but well within the width of the tailgate. My biggest problem is fitting myself in the ranger. At 6 feet tall, I can't read the speedometer without scrunching down (the steering wheel is not adjustable).

Before I made a ramp from 2x6, I used to drive over the wheel wells in my Ranger (regular bed). Missed the brake once, almost bought a new rear window and made a ramp from the front of the wheel well to the back of the bed. The front tires rest on the ramp, and the back tires stop at the begining of the ramp to keep it from sliding. Also left small ruts in the wheel well from the stell rim, you may want to check and make sure yours isn't doing the same.

My truck has a bedliner. I have not noticed any damage. Check out this article for a bed ram design that works pretty well: Truck Bed Ramp (http://www.atvoutdoors.net/default.a...4&CategoryID=4).

Default Will it fit in the back of my truck?

Hi
I just purchase a 03 Kodiak and I go pick it up next week. I plan on ramping it into the back of my 02 yoyota tacoma. Anyone out there try this with a tacoma? I plan on building a ramp. It says the wiidth is 42.7" and I have about 40.5" between the wheel wells. does anyone know if the dimensions are the tires or the plastic, or what? Anyone with any ideas? It would be appreciated.

Thanks!
