Default old gas please help

I just recently picked up a 1986 S10 blazer from my dads buddy for a hundred bucks. It is sraight as an arrow and was only used as a run around vehicle for his sister around their farm. It is missing a bit of paint on the back but the spare tire covers it. the only thing is that it was sitting there for a year and it still has a full tank of gas in it. could the old gas make it run a bit power less. oh yeah. the oil was changed in it only 100 miles before it was parked. i was going to change the oil but i dont know if i need to.

sorry bout the long post.

If it has been sitting for a year you probably will want to change all the fluids, oil, antifreeze, and gas. Drain them all and refill. Bad gas, old oil, and contaminated antifreeze can wreak havoc on an engine.

As everyone else said... Plus check any and all seals. The worst thing for a car is to just sit. It wreaks havoc on them.
