You still haven't answered the million dollar question. What is YOUR Rangers tow rating? You don't want to exceed 80% of whatever the rating is.
Also figure in the weight of whatever you will be loading into it. I haven't seen any toy hauler manufacturers yet that give very accurate real world dry wieght figures. Check out some of the toy hauler forums and you will see a lot of people have been weighing their trailers empty only to find that they exceed the manufacturers listed wieght by a considerable amount. I think even a 16ft toy hauler is going to be much for your Ranger. You really need a minimum of a full-size 1/2 ton to tow any kind of toy hauler out there.

not sure what the rating is. I guess I need to find out. I know its not much if your using your bumper to tow with.
it has a reciever hitch installed and a heavier rear suspension. I have no problems with the bed fully
loaded then the rack and quad on it while pulling the tent trailer

Hey Mucky,
I saw one of these recently at a Sportsman show, and I thought it might be something someone in your position might want to consider... (I didn't know such a thing existed).
Jumping Jack Trailer
It will hold two quads on top. Once they are off, the top deck basically folds out to a horizontal position. In the bottom of the trailer, the tent part essentailly zips into it's self, so it is it's own waterproof container.
Once unzipped, you lift the non-door side of the tent up and towards the center of the trailer, and gas spring/struts pop the rest of it up. Literally takes just a few minutes to offload and have the tent part up.
Inside are two padded bunks with a little table between.
Of course, no furnace, bathroom or anything, but it is a real step up from a regular tent. I thought it would also be a good choice for someone with a pickup camper, just to have extra room to spread your gear out or whatever, out of the weather.
I think they were asking like $3600...
