I know that the chevys have a DRL fuse. I would assume that the Fords have them too. Take a look in your fuse block.

You might want to track down a manual or talk to someone at a Ford service shop. GM trucks with DRL's, have a coded process to deactivate the DRL's. Using a combination of keying the ignition switch and hitting the 'dome override' (four times within six seconds) will deactivate the DRL's - at least until the truck is restarted again. '04 and newer GM trucks have a true overide to keep the DRL's off all the time.

Not sure agout Ford products but it would make sense that they would have something similar.

I'm with Bill. It's so that people can see YOU. I drive with my lights on all the time. It's not like the DRLs on a GM that are half burned out most of the time.

Apply the parking brake just one click.....That turns 'em off...........
Doesn't apply the brakes at all...
That's what it's designed to do...

i'll turm them off because i want them off, not because the man wants them on. when i feel the conditions need them i "ll put them on.
same reason you took all the dang safety stickers off on your quad
thanks i'll try the e-brake one click you'all have a good one.

To each their own. Some people also have their airbags disabled and don't wear their seat belts.

And my safety stickers are still on my bike. Because I figure why take them off. Plus, in this litigious society we live in my luck someone would jump on it, get hurt and sue me because they were removed.

I'm suprised that DRLs haven't been mandated in the US (let alone in CA where I am.) They are required for MCs. I know of ONE road in CA, I'm sure there are others, and I think I've been on at least one other, just don't remember where it was, that requires headlights in the daytime (SR-46 Paso Robles to Cholame).

I highly doubt that Ford engineered the parking brake to be applied one click while driving to disable the DRLs. The DRLs would shut off because they believe you are parking. GM is smart in that it looks like the DRLs are activated by the transmission.
