tie downs
#13
I've seen some things jump out of the back of a pickup that were pretty darn heavy from not being tied down, IMO it's a very small piece of mind. When we go riding I normally load everything up the night before, I haul one quad in my bed and one in the trailer, once everything is loaded and tied down I take a huge chaing and lock and run the chain from the quad in the truck to the one in the trailer then around the trailer tounge.....I back the trailer up to the garage door then park my car in front of the pickup.
The other factor to consider is other jerk off drivers, just cause you drive safely doesn't mean some A-hole doesn't rear end you at a high speed or you have to make some major swerves to avoid something, stranger things have happened. My buddy things I'm over doing it but I said "when its your $20,000 being hauled then feel free to do whatever you want". I tie down all four corners and have still had tie downs come loose from time to time.
