Default Brake suggestions for '02 Dodge 2500 CTD?

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for front brake rotors and pads for an '02 2500 Ram 4WD diesel? I think I only got about 25K or less miles from the last set, and I drive it like a grandpa (no, I don't mean I ride the brakes going down the highway!). I also very rarely tow, so it's mostly used for a daily driver to and from work - partly country roads and partly highway. Don't want to pay a fortune, but willing to pay for some good quality parts that will last a little longer! Thanks.

Only 25000miles! I have 38000miles and my brakes are still going strong. Are these the factory brakes? Are your rotors gone too?

Anyway, I would look at the EBC Extra Duty pads.

No, these are the 2nd set of rotors & pads I think. I bought the truck used with about 40K on it, and I'm pretty sure those were the factory ones. Yeah, this set of rotors are looking to be in pretty bad shape, but I haven't mic'ed them yet to see if they can be turned. I'm pretty much thinking they will be out of spec. Funny you mention the EBC ones - I have been on several websites that carry them, and I can't figure out which ones are applicable for my truck. All they seem to specify is "full size pickup", and don't even say 1500, 2500 or 3500. I got into the "online live help" with one website just a few minutes ago, but the guy seemed to know even less than I do (if you can believe that!?) and even quoted me some rear discs from EBC. Told him I don't think they will fit my truck, since it takes drums. I e-mailed EBC earlier today, but haven't heard back from them. Hopefully they will be able to fix me up. I like the looks of their drilled/slotted rotors too, but want to make sure they will last before spending the money. Were you talking about the "yellow stuff" or the "green stuff" pads from EBC, or something different? Thanks for the reply!

The EBC Ultimax Heavy Duty pads.

They are not the "Green Stuff" or the "Yellow Stuff".

I see. Have you used these before? I still haven't heard back from EBC, but most of the sites I see that sell these make it very unclear (to me at least!) which ones are even for my 3/4 ton truck. I did notice that I made a mistake when I started this thread though - my truck is a 2000, not a 2002 model year.

I dont have them on my current (still have factory pads). I had them on my last truck and had 40000 miles on them when I traded up. If I remember right I purchased them @ Auto Zone.

If you hava problem finding them, Raybestos is also a great brand for brakes.
