Default extend the frame

Hey everyone, I have an old '78 Scamper 17' trailer and was thinking about extending the frame either out the front or back to hold my H1 Arctic Cat( very heavy, about 700lbs.). Does anyone have any suggestions on the pros and cons of such a mod. Thank-you!!

Default extend the frame

I just extended the frame to add a 2" receiver hitch on my 27' 5th wheel RV to pull a Arctic 650V2 and ATV trailer. Works very well. the second trailer did change the pulling characteristic of the trailers slightly. My AVT trailer adds 75#'s to the rear hitch of the RV and the rest of the load is carried by the ATV trailer. I dont know if adding 700+#'s (have to add the weight of the framing to support the ATV) to the rear of the trailer would be safe. You would also be rebalancing the trainer which may cause dangerous handling problems.
