Reckon im gonna have to trade in my F-150 for a new Chevy truck.
And I told the wife to wait for the 2500 sub to come out, but noooo she had to be the first one on the block with the new style,
And for whoever threw in the estimated body weight of the passangers being at 200, damm i wish i was back at 200, lmao

Vmutt: I feel your pain! I also was convinced by the wife to purchase an 04' Avalanche because it was versital and it was also the first year it came out with out the clady. It was a good truck but we needed something with more power so I picked up a 1500HD Silverado and since then we haven't had any regrets. Well good luck with your hunt.

It's more challenging if you're still moving. I'm thinking something like the old Knight Rider tv show.

 

I guess I'll pipe in since I just went down this road of "what tow vehicle to buy".

Did lots of research before I made this decision, and I didn't make it lightly.

A few people already hit the nail on the head.

1) How much is the vehicle rated to tow.
2) How stable is the vehicle going to be while towing it??
3) How well can you STOP a fully loaded trailer and vehicle??
4) Kinda goes with #2 but when you are travelling down the hwy, and a big truck/semi passes you, are you going to be able to correct the trailer whip/sway???
5) Is your motor going to overheat??
6) Is your tranny going to overheat??
7) What kind of gas mileage can you expect when towing a big trailer with a gas motor as opposed to a diesel motor??
8) Controlling the trailer while going downhill, or around corners..
9) Tire load ratings on the tow vehicle...

As you can see, there a LOT of things to consider when talking about towing, and or the tow vehicle.

For me, I chose to get a 3/4 ton diesel. It's built for towing, stopping and keeping a big load under control (stable) while towing.
