What do you tow with?

I tow my 2006 Lt-r 450 on a small harbor freight trailor beind my 1993 Toyota 4runner SR5 with a chevy small block 350 putting out about 350hp with a manual/automatic th350 transmission. I has about 11 inches of lift and sits on 38.5" super swamper boggers with 15x12 weld scorpio wheels. Hard to tell that it's towing anyting because I can't see it behind the truck when im driving it. Also kind of hard to back up because of the hort wheelbase and the short trailer, and because i can't see it, but all in all it makes for a good time.

The thing is though, the programmer also fools the on board computer that calculates fuel mileage into thinking you are burning less fuel than you really are. Most programmers will show a 2 - 3 mpg gain in fuel mileage as calculated by the on board computer, even when there has been no improvement at all. If he was calculating fuel mileage by hand, instead of going by what the computer says, then he has gained fuel mileage. How much does your boat and trailer weigh? My fiver weighs 17,000 fully loaded. That makes a stock Dodge getting 9 mpg, and a stock GMC getting 9 mpg. Looks pretty equal to me. Wow, that's good info. We were using the factory fuel mileage computer, never checked it against paper and pencil. Even if it didn't get better mileage with the programmer, it sure hauled better with 150 extra ft/lbs TQ.
My boat trailer is a 13K lb triple axle aluminum trailer and the boat is roughly 11K lb with fuel, water, ice, gear, and beer. There is a picture of it on My Page here, it makes my F250 look like a little toy.

I tow a 24 ft Carson Toy hauler with an 02 Dodge CTD. With the trailer @ 55mph I get around 17 average MPG and @ 65 get 14 MPG. Empty I average any where from 19 to 24 depending on my speed. Im thinking about gettig another 02 CTD 6 speed and just storing out back for when this one wears out.

I pull our 12'x83" PJ with a Polaris Sportsman, Outty 800 and a Polaris Magnum with as much gear as my 98 F150 4.6l will hold. Really surprised what this little motor will do. Gotta pull in 3rd gear but it gets ya there.

I have seen others towing with the F150's with the 4.6 or the 5.4. Its kinda cool at night cause you get to see the glowing red exhaust manifolds LOL..
My new tow vehicle is also my work vehicle. A 95 Chevrolet Silverado C1500 non-Turbo Diesel Long bed. I am debating on getting rid of the trailer thou. They both fit in the bed of the pickup. Just makes it hard to tow my Snowmobiles...
