Default How much weight will the Dodge pull ?

Looking to buy an enclosed trailer, I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 1/2 ton ext. cab 4x4 short bed ( 360 cu. in., auto, 4.10 gears ). How big can I go safely, 2 to 3 quads, camping supplies, etc., etc. Your experiences might help me decide. I pull a dual axle 18' deck, all steel car trailer with everything loaded now, it pulls ok just looking for an enclosed trailer to replace it.

I own a 2003 Dodge 1500 quad cab. I also tow a 20 foot enclosed trailer with it. We carry 2 06 Vinsons in it with no trouble. I would recommend sway bars.

Try www.trailerlife.com and use there towing guide (excellent resource) for any vehicle tow rating capacity. Wieght won't be your issue though. Pulling long enclosed trailer will be a little different than the deck trailer due to the wind it will catch. A decent antisway/wieght distribution set-up is in your future for safety and sanity.
