no brake lights
#1
I have a cherokee that I put a hitch on and bought the flat 4 pin plug that mates up to my trailer plug. The wires were clearly marked;
-ground
-R.turn
-L.turn
-tail
So, I wired into the Jeep at the tail lights and I have everything but brake lights. There was no brake light wire and I wondered about that. But thery all work when I tow the traileer with my Explorer. What did I miss?
Thanks

If your Cherokee has amber turn signal separate from the stop lights you'll need a module. They basically plug into the stock wiring harness. The brake lights on a trailer just use the turn signals together.
