This seems high. How much should I offer? I live in Illinois.

I just discovered that was too much. After about a month of searching, and a 200 mile round trip ,I purchased a used SL-8, for half that.

 

Good deal, there are lots of used flat bed trailers around if you keep an eye out.

 

Don't judge the dealer as a bad guy... The cost of Aluminum has gone through the roof in recent years. If the used trailer was built prior to the increase, it stands to reason it is much less. I have a 12 year old aluminum trailer that is worth more as scrap today that what I paid for it new...

 

Just out of curiosity, the dealer wan't located in Beloit was he? A well known RV dealer perhaps?
