I have a 250cc Suzuki Ozark, I know its not the largest ATV but its enough for me. The 2 inch thick ramps are rated to hold 430 pounds each, so one ramp can hold up my whole ATV. Another words, 2 inch planks will be fine.

My first ATV was an identical 86' Honda TRX350FM Full Time 4x4 like the one in your photo , it was one of the strongest quad Honda ever built ; but it was was a brute to handle with the heavy straight Axle front Differentcial and a double shock swingarm rear axle !
I bought it from the original owner with just a little over 20 hrs. on the quad , the first thing i will say about this is i hope you're big enough to man handle it ; it weighs in at about 200 lbs. more than the Suzuki Eigter 250 and has a metal fuel tank mounted under the seat (don't take it into water to the seat ) i did and it cost me almost $300.00 for a new tank !
You'll know why i asked if you were big enough to man handle it the first time you hit a hole or deep rut in the trail , your butt will be biting the seat when one of the front wheels drops into a hole or rut ; the other front wheel will come off the ground ( Scared me big time when it happened to me ) you'll need 150 lbs. to throw over the handle bars to get it back down onto the ground !
I weighed 150 lbs. when i first got it , and dropped down to 130 lbs. 6 months later from the workout i got in the North Ga. Mountains where i ride ; it took me that long to master the beast !
But with the Heavy Straight Axle you could use it like a bull dozer , however the original tire's were a joke (1/4" lugs threads ) on the tire's when new ; tire's , brake's and fuel tank before i sold it to my brother in Nov. 2005 !.....

oh yeah, You could say I could handle it. I'm over 250 so that should do it. but yeah, what did you top out at? before I put it in the shop It topped at 45, but the carb needed cleaning and some other stuff to, so I put it in the shop. I don't know what it will max out at yet. I havent got it back. Its a Big machine to turn. I'll give it that. did it handle its own in any mud? and you wouldnt happen to know if thats an easy quad to snorkel do you?

For a llittle Nissan PU, you don't need 11' long ramps. Use a ramp the same length as the bed - 6' will do fine. the longer the ramp you gt the weaker it will be and the more sag in the middle as you load. Unless you load uphill, a 6' long ramp will be easy and safe to load. Buy a 12' long 2x10 or 2x12 at Lowes, cut it in half, add on the metal ends, put on some non-skid or kerf the surface and you're good to go.

Well i didn't have anyway to check the top speed because it didn't have a speedometer , all i can say is it ran faster than i could could handle it on the trails that i rode in the mountain's here in North Ga. ; and as for mudding i pulled everybody out of the swamp's !
My Second quad was a 93' Suzuki LT4wd 300 King Quad with IRS , and i got stuck more times on it than i did on the old Honda ; with the Honda's Straight axle front diff i could turn the handle bar's left and right throwing my weight around and it would go through anything other's couldn't get through at the time !
Anything i got stuck in the Super Winch would get me unstuck , i have a 2006 Arctic Cat 400 FIS Auto that has 12" ground clearance and a Differencial lock that will go through water that would sink the Honda ; the first day i got it home me and my brother took them up a creek near our house where there was pool of water we had always had to come out of the creek bank and go around the bank then back down in the creek to get to the dam of a big lake !
My brother was leading the way and when we got to the deep part he went out of the creekbed but i just kept going on the cat , my brother gave me a shocked look when he saw me going through the creek instead of going around it ; the Cat is so tall the water only came up to the floor board's !
But on the way back there was a swamp that he went through we had never gone through it before , i tried to follow but i got stuck and tried everything even the diff lock and still couldn't get up the bank ; my brother thought he was going to use the winch to get me out but i was able to back out !
It was the first day on my new AC and i wasn't use to it , but i don't think i could get through the swamp like he did on the Honda even to day if i tried ; as for snorkling the Honda forget it the fuel tank is mounted under the seat anything to the bottom of the seat and you get water in the tank !
My brother was about your weight around 250 lbs and over 6 ft. tall , he could pop wheelies and jump the Honda like a sport quad ; that was something i could never do on any quad because i'm a Double Amputee ( both legs off at the knee's ) the first time i hit a speed bump in the Mountain's trying to stay with the Suzuki ( me on the Honda ) the frontend came down first and i did a handstand on the handlebars ( I almost went over the bar's ) if i had the Honda would've ran over me lol !
Before i lost my leg's in an autombile in 1975 at 21 yrs. old i rode dirt bike's and street bike's , and not to brag i was very good on them street or trail ; after i got the Honda 4x4 i could go places that i couldn't get to before i lost my leg's !
I loved 4 wheeling ever since , it was almost like i had my leg's back at the age of 35 ; man i love to ride !
With your weight and the use of your leg's you'll be riding the Honda like a sport bike in no time , and get a winch or long row strap because you will be pulling other quad's out of the mud and swamp's ; the only way you could snorkle the Honda is to mount a fuel tank above the seat that is the only draw back to this quad !
Be carefull and have fun on your Honda , it is one of the toughest quad's on the planet ; i know this in the almost 16 yrs. that i owned mine !.....

I'm glad to hear all of this. its very interesting to know what the honda is capable of. one question though, if its not to personal. My father is an amputee also. his left leg is gone up to the thigh. how did you manage to shift with the honda? because he likes to ride too, but he can only go in first gear, and creep. do you think thats possible with the honda's gas tank?
