Tow behind ATV trailers
I'm looking for a tow behind ATV trailer for a reasonable price.
I went to a snowmobile show last September at Eastern States Exposition (the Big E). Although this was a snowmobile show, some of the displays had ATV items as well. One of the displays had a ATV trailer that I liked, but it was $500. At the time, I thought that was ridiculously high, but I've learned since that it was a good price.
Here is what I can remember about the trailer. I thought it was made by Thule, but I've used google and can't find it. It was a single axle with ATV tires, one-piece plastic body and the back part was angled, manual tilt (pulled a pin in the front), 2" receiver, no lights and I believe the cargo area was approx 6 feet long and maybe 2 1/2 feet wide.
I've found a lot of trailers using google, but it seems like the only ones I can find that are decent size are a dual axle and almost all the trailers I've found use a metal body. Also, most of the trailers I've found are over a $1,000 (and I mean way over).
I'm trying to find one simiallar to what I seen at that show. If anyone has any ideas or info, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Mike.

I just got a Polar 1500 trailer. It sounds as if they are very similar. I have not used it yet but it seems to be heavy duty. Polar claims it has a 1500 pound weight capacity. 22 cubic feet. 72"x40" 12" ground clearance. Needle bearings in the wheels. I had a minor issue and their customer service was top notch. Northern Tool and Bass Pro both carry them. Shipping is $100+ though.

I bought a commercially made trailer last year and it was a good value for the money.
BUT!
I have since found a local welder that makes a living by making trailers to order and his quality far exceeds the commercial stuff.
The trick is that he is booked some two months in advance.
IF you have the time; you may want to look around your area for a good welder.

This looks like what Mike described. $449.00. Free shipping to a business address only. http://www.countryatv.com/singleaxleatv.htm#Poly And here. http://www.ohiosteelatv.com/atvcarts.htm Same price and free shipping to a business address. If you Google "atv cart" instead of "atv trailer" it doesn't show as many trailers to haul an atv on.

Try one of these I pull this trailer full of wet firewood up and down a hill in VT without any issues other than staying on the brakes on the way down the 40 degree slope. I've hauled a heaping trailer full of beechwood and it handles it without any issues.
