really thinking about the tacoma because it toyotas hold there value and even without 4WD i could make it though with the weight of the paper in the back in baskets with a small tarp over the back until i feel like getting a topper.
I think i might be able to put my quad in the back of the truck maybe lol

It's a beautiful truck. But I really regreated getting my f150 in 2wd. I really wanted a 4wd but I just settled. It was a big purchase and I regreated it, especially in the winter. Extra weight in the back doesn't help that much for the snow we get here. Hopefully your winters aren't harsh like I have here.

You'll have no trouble getting a quad in there, plenty of room

Mileage: Unlisted on the Tacoma. BTW any ATV will fit in a full-size pickup.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Originally posted by: jumbofrank

Before the gas crisis of the 1970s most cars could tow a trailer like that without any trouble. Since then 99% of them have lost the ability. It's really too bad that we all need trucks and SUVs to haul trailers that cars used to tow. A few cars can still tow trailers but the gas mileage wouldn't be much better than a truck.

Does anyone know a place to find towing capacities of different models?</end quote></div>
i found this site that has a bunch light truck and suv tow ratings from 2002 tho
though id share it anyway

A Toyota Tacoma with a V6 would work nicely. Make sure you get the V6 and not a 4 cylinder version. Not really enough umph even though you are not pulling much weight.

I think a V-6 would be good for a light trailer too, but on a heavy trailer they get a lot worse mileage than a V-8. It's one of those things where you need to think ahead to if you might get a bigger trailer some day.

As I mentioned earlier, ANY ATV, including the 2-ups fit in any full-size pickup. But I will <u>never</u> haul a quad in my truck again. A trailer is the way to go and my 5x8 is perfect for one quad. I'm 99% sure that when I trade my truck in I'm getting a Tahoe instead of a pickup.

I wish i could convince my mother to got to the Tahoe instead of are gmc sierra but she likes her truck and uses my car while gas prices are high lol. I think if i helped her from being upside down on her truck she may go for the Tahoe.
this maybe my best bet even if it wouldnt be my truck at least it would be better then nothing. Im not very proud to admit i still live with my mother but it does save me money.

A Tahoe gets the same gas mileage as a Suburban or Silverado with the same engine. I bet it's the same as a Sierra too. I've had an SUV, a van, and two trucks. I'm ready for another SUV.

2004gmc Sierra has 5.3V8 4WD ext cab going on 48,000miles. seems to me trucks beds seem to get abused and used over the years. Ive sparyed that dupo color or whatever liner and used 4x6 outdoor rugs i got at menards for about $6.00 or $7.00. I do have Porter Cable 135PSI 15 gallon air compressor i thinking on sanding down and putting on some better spary on linner

I bought used off a friend a almost 3-4 years back for $75 its still going strong.
I think Id almost rather get a topper for the Sierra than trade it in we got i think 2 or 3 years left on it.
Ive got 2008 hyundai accent thats just about barebones with autotrans,A/C, and a cd player.
at least ive got that 10year/100000mile power train warranty.
In the future I may consider a longer trailer but not a wider one.
I see Load trail make 5x16 WoW
and a 4x10 which is what Im more intrested in but 5x16 is neat idea I think..

hay guys would buy this suv if you had the money?
im keeping my little car but i want to buy the 1997 gmc SUBURBAN k1500
It has a 108,000 miles on it . the dealer want $4000 I get the feeling with gas prices I can get em to go down a little more or even $4000 out the door.
I only plan on useing it weekends and during winter when my car stand no chance of getting out of the driveway. last winter was pretty bad.
anything I should look for?
