trailer light question
#1
i just put some lights on are 18' trailer. There are 3 wires running back to the tail lights. There green, yellow and brown. The brown wire is the tail light wire which i connected my amber lights to. When i turn the tail lights on they work fine. But when i dont have my tail lights on and i turn a turn signal on they all start flashing.Has anyone had this problem also? Whats my problem?
thanks alot guys for any help

First, make sure you have a good ground - hardwired, not using the trailer touching the ball as a ground. A bad ground can cause all kinds of wierd problems.
What is your tow vehicle, and does it have amber turn signals. If it does have amber turns that are separate from the brake lights, then there is a convertor box that you need to wire in to the tow vehicle. If it has a factory harness, then it already has this.
Other possibility is that you have a turn signal wire touching the brown somewhere.
