Trailer find in field
#1
I've been hunting craigslist and local dealers for trailers and came up with either pieces of crud or too expensive.
found this in a field last week in Northern CO. Stout little dude, boards look like heck but are sound. wheels, bearings, tires and axel are sound.
took the wire brush on the angle grinder to it, new set of lights, ground off the cender dolly, put on a swivel type. Rattle canned it and stained the boards. I'm into it for a grand. Compairables around here are 1300-1700 give or take.

NO, i didn't think it was a 5 finger discount!
. it's just, well i guess around my part of Texas, lumber is not that expensive and trailers are fairly cheap. sorry......BUT, he's got a very nice looking trailer for his quads now! most awesome!

prices vary from place to place. some guys were wanting a grand for some real pieces of crud. nice trailers were going for 1700 bones.
we picked up a second atv for hunting. my 14 yr old is going with me this year. he drew both an elk and deer tag. he helped (did as much as i did) fixing up the trailer. actually kind of fun working of this stuff with your kid and him learning along the way.
its not fancy, but is pulls really good and is a stout little trailer. I'm happy with it and it fits in my garage (hoa rules)

CJ,
you may consider putting a tailboard of some sort on the end. that's just a little added security if you have a strap fail. the quad won't bounce or roll out the back. just a thought. i have one on mine that's made out of small bore square tubing.
. just thought i'd throw that out there for what it's worth. but your trailer does look GOOD!

yeah, I hear you. the back ATV bounces pretty good. After the first test run out on the roads I put a total of six straps on it. the way I now have it, at least three are going to have to fail before I think it would come loose.
