I went with the endless ratchet type straps. No hooks to come off if something bounces, and nothing to scratch.

Be sure to repack the wheel bearings, if you haven't done so already.

Default Trailer Find

The Restoration looks GREAT!

BUT!

I am not impressed with tieing an ATV to the rails the way that you did.
1. The Straps can slide and loosen,
2. The higher that the straps are the harder it is to secure the load,
3. If the trailer is too wide it is a big reach to the ATV.

On MY Trailer; I drilled through the floorboards and put in four 1/2" eye bolts (per ATV - 2 front & 2 rear), with a piece of 2" angle iron for a washer. This keeps the machine anchored to the floor and it isn't going to move - no matter what sort of pothole you hit.

The eye bolts are a smalll investment - but they can make a world of difference. IMHO
