Default Baja 400 4x4

Hi All,

I wanted to know if anyone knows where to get an oil filter and a front light WD400u-987 is the part number for this Baja 400 4x4 unit. The part number for the oil filter is WD400u-410. There are no cross references for this. Also, I have notice an oil leak underneath the atv. It appears to be coming from the back axle Please let me know if you can help.

Thanks, David

Default Thank You!!!!

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the info. Do you know the part number of the filter and who makes it. I am near Chicago, IL. Do you have a Baja 400 4x4? Have you had any trouble with it or any helpful advice?
Take Care, David

Hey David,
it is the part number that you had posted, yes we have one, my two boys took it swimming so now I am looking for engine parts, I do not know about a filter in the states...they seem to have a weird model for the franchises makes it hard to get parts

Hi Mark,

I know, I can find anyone that can find the correct oil filter. Someone suggested Fram filter 4967 and I tried it but it but the oil filter bolt/spindle sticks out so it does not let the filter gasket seal on the engine. I am also in need of grease fittings for the rear suspension that broke off when I attached the grease gun. It appears that they are made of brass and not very strong. Hopefully you will be able to find your parts also. Let me know if you find out any good pointers on our Baja 400's, I only have 100 miles on it and I had no other problems with it.

Take Care, David
