Pond Skimming!

Here's my buddy skimming over a pond in his 700r.

The water's 10' deep about 15' behind where the picture is.

Don't ask how long it took him to be able to do it...

Yeah thats cool. Dont think I'll ever try, unless I have a pond and a bike just for that. I seen some guys do it in Carpe Diem this weekend, It took the guy like 5 times before he got across, and I think he had tried it before the video shoot. The couple of times before the guy made it, he got to within 50 feet or so of the other side! It would suck to get that far and then take a bath!

Yeah, my friend bought that raptor you see in the picture. He also has a 400EX that he made SEVERAL attempts with. (and flew over the handlbars)

That is absolutely nuts, I don't think I would ever have the cahone's to do that...lol probably just because I can't see taking the chance of losing my bike if something goes wrong.

I have seen a few people do it on dirtbikes and quads at silver lake, but the water was only about 3' deep...but still plenty to throw you over the handle bars and flood your machine out. I dont think that is something I will ever try, but I like watching other go for it..lol!
