I'm not trashing SD. Just think that that is where it happened and not in Stockton. Have to see what MD comes back with. He's up towards that way...and it was before I was aware of my surroundings.

My bro's gun he just picked up is a G36C replica AEG. Mag holds like 400+ rounds. It's the new paintball thing. Supposed to use more tactics. Really popular with SWAT guys.
Most stock AEGs (generally assault (G36s, M4s, MP5s) and rifle (G3s, M16s and AK-47s) shoot about 300 feet per second. Get up into the sniper rifles and you easily *** 100 fps stock. They have OPs all over the place. Once a month they hold one at Fort Ord in the old base housing area. Limit there is 400 FPS, with snipers limited to 500 FPS with a greater min. distance after a test. One guy in Fresno had a sniper set up to 650 FPS. Then can actually become embedded in the skin at that speed.
It is supposed to involve more tactics than just shooting each other. Whis is what some people are into. Some people are literally out there to HURT people, because they can.

OUCH
I'd rather use paint ball gun Iguess you need to use more tactical manuevering to avoid getting one imbedded in you ****

And they do need to increase the penalties.

the whole police chase thing really riles me. their job is to catch bad guys, so they're really doing what they're trained to do. and if it becomes known that police policy is to not pursue, you encourage the POS to initiate a pursuit. BUT; the tragedy is someone innocent is often killed during pursuit, often the officer. so if the POS is caught, he might face 1-2 years served (max). was the innocent citizen's or cop's life worth such a trivial penalty? the courts need to take this type of crime WAY more seriously. to me, it's all about INTENT, and what could have happened. the only thing separating murder from attempted murder is luck. the POS' intent is exactly the same in either cae; to murder. in a chase, you could kill someone, and the only thing saving you was luck. you put people's lives at risk (altho i'm sure it's not quite the same as intending to murder someone, but it's not very far behind, cuz what do you think will happen when you act that recklessly?). much stiffer penalty needed.

It worked, hey let the real killer oof Look at how hard OJ is trying to find the real killer From the 14 th hole on the back side
Anyways, for us to do that manuever, you need supervisor approval speeds have to be below 25 mph and it has to be at a intersection while the suspect is turning. So, needless to say, we don't do them. Stop Stixs are easier and don't need approval to use them I can't say what CHP's policy is.
Like I said earlier, in a homicide case circumstantial evidence is a lot of your case. Sometimes, you need to forgo your "not so upstanding gentleman of society" And let the evidence support itself. My GOD, IIRC, he owned a 9mm that was now missing/unaccounted for and they couldn't find the gun she was shot with I tell ya, if you want to kill someone, go down south. I don't know what is up with the Da's office down there

The way I look at it is; CHP is the TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT unit in the state. They should be able to chase at after all law breakers. IF you let them just run Where do you draw the line??? And, it's not hard to turn a minor traffic violation to a FELONY in a pursuit especially when they endanger lives. Problem is with the lawyers an courts who don't push for harder sentences

i'd like to do more research to find out what happened in the ensuing days after they lynched the culprits. can you read archived newspaper thru the net?? i know i can review local papers dating back years, but on microfiche, and at the local library. i don't wanna go that far.
