Ya, the market is crazy here right now. Our house in Lemoore (which now a rental) was up for rent for 1 day and that same day someone came in and wanted it and got it.

our market is hyper too. i read an article that claimed world-wide there's inflated house pricing, and it's just a big balloon waiting for a pin. hey, when interest rates are at 60 year lows, i guess that's gonna happen. the moment they spike up, it's gonna be scary.

Hmmm. This market is so wacked. I've read a lot of the news about the real estate market being like the Dot Com Bubble in the 90s.

The people who took out interest only loans could be a in REAL world of hurt. Only protection they would have is if they have fixed mortgages with a low rate. Rates are up over a point this last year.

I know, hopefully it won't take long for it to sell.

I know what you mean about garage sales, I hate them too Wife on the other hand. We do doante a lot to charity, Goodwill.

Well, we learned tonight we got the house Now, all the fun begins kids have never moved before they want to know what it entails They are about to find out

Confused, good luck on yours too
Oh I feel your pain, my family just moved to a bigger house about 15 miles away from our old house. We have lived in the new house now for 2 weeks and still are living out of boxes Moving sucks, IMO!

But Im sure your kids will find it quite interesting. But Congrats, Im sure it will be well worth it!!
Thanks DQ

I don't look forward to the move Hopefully, we won't sell our house until we are moved into the other house. That way, I only have to move 1 room at a time I hate asking people to help too

Not around here Would need to travel travel atleast 45 mins east to get anything like that. And that is not much of a house. What you described is on 3 acres and cost about $1.3 million

Last week the Modesto area was rank #3 in the nation on excessive housing prices. Housing in this area is over priced 53%

I think Fresno/Clovis was like #9, forget what % though
Yeah, it's pretty much insane. I've given up buying a house here. Friends are talking about Texas and Iowa. I don't know about those Texas people. Iowa, maybe. Buddy is a machinist and his gf is umm a job specialist I guess. Helps to find people work. He'd make $1 more an ahour but she'd be about $1 less so it's a wash. But the housing is nothing compared to here.

Another friend who's a draftsman is probably going to be moving to Dallas. He got called by a head hunter. He's happy where he is so he added $10K to what he makes and they accepted.
I just can't see how people can do it, I mean starting out. I think a lot of it has to do with the imagination of the finance companies

We are both from Chicago. We talk about going back there. Right now, the kids are the priority so, we will make do in the rat race here

Congrats on the new house. I've already moved someone this year. I only move once a year.

Have a buddy moving from Seattle to Sac at the end of the month. Movers wanted $2K. He's gonna get a U-Haul...$600 most likely.

Last time I moved it took me the better part of a month it seemed.

Take this time to get rid of stuff. I move again, I'm calling for a roll-away tub.
Thanks b&rw

We've been here for 16 years So, we gotsalot of stuff to move

b&rw, your right, we already have an interested buyer My buddy just sold his house, it never touched the market Agent showed it to his clients. Now he's making 6% as the seller's agent and 6% as the buyer's agent. Man are they raking in the dough

We negotiated with our agent. He's making 2%. Which still equates to a pretty good profit.
