you mean she'd be happy if they cut out mid-flight? Or would that be me if it was my wife in the engine-less plane mid-flight?

in my case, i prefer to call it pink steel. and with the heat this unit has generated, i'm surprised it hasn't acted like a welding rod!

Well fellers...I don't know about you, but I'm ready for warmer weather (like where Trasher lives). I like the seasons, but the cold gets really old (especially when I have $350/month natural gas bills).

we moved into same size house, but 30 years newer. we're heating 600 sq' less (have a room temporarily closed off). newer house has double pane windows, double the insulation (old place had neither). new place has hot water baseboard heat with boiler vs. forced air furnace from old place. DESPITE all of this, my heating bill is way higher. go figure??
Last November, gas prices shot up 48% in Utah...it really sucks. My home has double pane windows w/storm windows, 2x6 walls with blown in insulation thoughout the house, 2x12 roof, and baseboard heat from a boiler. Wev'e had to turn the thermostats down.

There are only two types of people that do that. Those that say they do and those that say they don't

I believe that you are correct. I've heard that a lot.

I could probably handle the engines cutting out, unless in the mountains. Boss has been flying for over 30 years so he knows how to handle his planes. This plane he's had for almost that long. Smaller plane he's had about 20 years.

I have a fear of heights...which is weird for riding. LOL. Once I get over 1000' I don't notice the neight. I know it's a ways down there. But it's not an issue. It's under 1000' where I have issues. And steep banking kinda gets to me. But when we left Van Nuys yesterday I didn't have a problem with it. I've flown (well been a passenger) for about 3.5 hours total now. Got to "fly" the small plane for about 10-15 minutes of that. Planes really do come close to flying themselves. You just kinda go along for the ride.

Pretty much everything around here, at least residential, is all forced air, and generally from dual packs. You see some heat pumps, but not much. Friend is finishing up building his house (been working on it for about 10 years.) He's running hydronics for heat. Crazy bastage has no cooling though at about 2000' (near Coarsegold, well the casino). Mech. engineer did his Title 24 calcs and was like "Wow, that's really efficient." Yeah, no ****. LOL Guess that's why everyone in US uses it but us it seems like. Though he was an iron worker so his house is built that way. Literally with steel beams. Not a normal stick frame.

My point a while back. Real men weld steel, not play with wood (from trees)

You need to give more than 3 days notice have you booked for next year If so, remind me again in 8 months and I'll make it happen
