Who is the King of the Utiltys?

I haven't read a ATV mag yet this year that did'nt say the Kawasaki Prairie 650 and or the Yamaha Grizzly 660 wasn't the top dog's. I shoped and test rode the ALL and in the end it was 1 of these 2 bikes. Though the Prairie's power was very impressive the final thing that sold me was the IRS on the Grizz. If the Prairie had a IRS I'd be on the Kawi right now. I pull the Rincon's and Polaris's out of the Florida mud on a daily basis. I do have to admit if you want a trail Cadillac buy the rincon. Ride them all, see what you like and what you going to use it for, decide from that. If you want to be the "Big Dog" on the block that does most everything well ....well buy the Prairie or Grizz. If you wan't a trail Cadillac buy a Rincon. If you want to be pulled out and around by your buddy's buy a Pullaris and a tow strap.

well heres my 2cents. I have a 2003Honda Rancher Es 350 4x4 and love it. I have had no problem with mind, and it has been put through alot. I love to mud ride, and I do alot of mudding. I do get stuck sometimes and sometimes I make out with no problem. I did install a winch, but other then that mine is all stock. SO GO WITH THE HONDA

Well, gee, Chris (ProEMTPFF), I don't guess us Honda riders will argue with you about whether your Grizz is "top dog" or "big dog" -- so long as you volunteer that it is undeniably a <u> Dog</u> !! <LOL>
But since this topic is about "King of ...", I guess we're back to Hondas again.
Seriously, you're right -- "King" depends on what you are looking for, what kind of riding you're doing, where you're going.
And yes, BigRed1, the 4x4 Rancher 350 may not be "King" -- maybe Crown Prince ? -- but it is one seriously sweet and FUN machine !
btw, Jacob -- is Woodworth, LA, near Alexandria ?? I grew up around Baton Rouge, and often wonder if the Kisatchie NF is still as awesome as it was 20 years ago.

I test rode a bunch of bikes, but the 650 Prairie left me with a much bigger smile than the rest. I wil admit that irs would be nice, but more moving parts means more parts to wear out and break. I also think the new Actic Cat 650 will be a contender. Consider also how detuned the 650 Prairie is, and how much more power is easily extracted from this motor.
