Baton Rouge.
aka "Red Stick" -- as in, what the color of this "old dude's" walking cane is gonna be after I catch that impertinent Tahgipahoa whippersnapper !! <LOL>
Y'all have awesome mud, oh yeah, and some pretty serious sandy-red hills -- but you ain't seen ATV-ing until you've rolled a few miles in our 6000 mountains, our vast public lands that those darned loggers have criss-crossed with really incredible trails.
C'mon out, cher -- the Grizzlies here ain't all Yamahas, and they'd love a Louisiana gator for a midday snack!

I think what it boils down to is the right quad for the right job. The overall improvements in the utility quad market are pretty substantial and I think all of the big bore atv's have something to offer(remember when 400 was the "BIG" quad). No group of riders will ever agree on the KING of utilitys, but it is interesting to here all the opinions.

My nod goes to the grizz as the undisputed king of utes. I had to make the same decision four weeks ago and mad the right choice with yamaha. This machine will go 68 mph, out pull any quad I have seen, and flat out outperform its competition. With the front diff lock, I am able to go through literally anything. Just last weekend I did some riding on some trails just after a rain, and took the beast out to see what it could do. I was absolutley impressed with its 4x4 ability. When I became stuck in 4 wheel limited slip, being skepical myself, I put it in 4 wheel locked and it just crawled out of the spot as if I had winched myself out. As far as reliability, people had mentioned about vapor lock, busted cv joints and belt slippage--no such instances have occurred, and at 300 miles, the only maintenance I did was change the oil at 200.

I have to take my hat off to arctic cat with the release of their new 650. I currently own 2 kawi p650's and absolutely love them. But there is always room for improvement and AC definitely improved the 650. With the FIS rear suspension and 13" pf ground clearence watch out. This could be an awesome machine. I also noticed the rear rack is rated for 300 lbs which could be very usefull for any hunters. Good luck with your choice.

The Artic Cat looks like a promising quad. It has the powerful Kaw 650 engine which has seemed to proven itself. The only thing that I would be worried about is snapping the axels. The Cats are pretty well known for breaking axels, and with the extra torque and power of the 650, I would hope that they will come up with a better axel. What cat has is nothing new. The IRS, high ground clearance, big bore, locker, is nothing new, just copied. Hopefully the other manufactures will step it up and come out with something new. Maybe 800cc's and fuel injected

WHY DOE4S EVERYONE LIKE IRS SO MUCH DO YOU LIKE TO ROLL OVER. ONE MORE THING THE SP700 IS NOT THE KING OF MUD. HORESPOWER WINS IN MUD BOGGING AND THAT WILL GO TO THE P650
