Who is the King of the Utiltys?

I don't know how the KP EFI works, since it's the first model year. But the Polaris EFI that came out last year, does have a limp mode, in case the computer gets damaged. I would suspect that Kawasaki has done something similar.
As for water going in the injectors...those are supposed to be water tight. It does suck in air though, it just doesn't go into a carb. So where it sucks in air...just like a carb...that's what you have to keep dry.

I have 2 Polaris 700 Twins, my friend Terry has a Polaris 700 Twin, My friend Jack has a Polaris 600 Twin, my friend Dan has 2 Polaris 700 Twins and my friend Larry has a Polaris 700 Twin.
We ride these quads in extreme conditions, over the hardest 4WD trails (Rubicon) in the country. Between ALL of these Quad's. The only problem we've had (Other than oil changes and Greasing) is foot rest breaking on boulders. Terry lost his brakes once....but that was because he got stuck on a stump, and loosened his brake fitting at the left front wheel.
So...that's 7 Polaris Sportsmans, each with about 1,000 miles.....and no issues.
So, I'll believe my experiences....over yours any day.

I ride a Suzuki Vinson but have many friends with several different cc Sportsmans and they love them. No problems at all that I'm aware of. I belive any quad you get now a days is something that will last as long as you take care of them. Most is just personal preference.
Why put other people or their quads down? Once you are on the trail having fun it doesn't matter what is wrote on the side of your bike.

I don't know why people do that. In my group of 8 riders...they're ALL Polaris, except 1 guy has a Honda. We give him crap all the time....but that's just among friends. I'd never tell anyone "Don't buy that"...Unless I knew they were buying the wrong Quad for the job they were trying to accomplish....and then I'd still give them 2 or 3 different choices and explain the diferences.

Is there really a bad choice here? C'mon people. Like Ken said, Unless you are buying a sport when you need a utility, you can't go wrong with almost any bike. There are a few questions you need to ask like "Am I riding mostly fast trails or climbing rocky mountains?" to determine whether you might want an IRS or SRA bike. But to argue over whether Polaris, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, etc. is a bad choice is just stupid. They are all high quality machines. I might suggest that a person buy a brand that most of the people who they ride with have just because they know the bikes' "good and bad" and can help you repair them when time comes.
